El Stitch y Bitch featured in altar exhibit

Members of El Stitch y Bitch traveled to Indianapolis Oct. 08 to install an all knit/crochet altar at the Indianapolis Art Center. The group unveiled the same installation last year at the 2010 Day of the Dead exhibition at the National Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago. The Indianapolis Art Center’s 12th annual Day of the Dead Exhibition, Detrás de la Máscara/Behind the Mask by Salvador Jiménes Flores runs through Nov. 27.
